Anyone who knows me knows that I can bore very easily so it was a fun surprise to do a photo shoot this weekend at a new venue---The Menil! Justin & Amy Woods are big art lovers so the venue was PERFECT for their Bump (maternity) session. Working with JC and Amy was awesome! I love all the props that they brought...matched their artistic tastes perfectly, plus I am a sucker for trying anything new and fun. Amy and I joked that too many props might be a lil cheesy but I don't think so--in fact I think they were awesome. I LOVE their pics. From baby Tom's, to books, to family heirloom quilts the props were perfect and I feel they really reflected JC and Amy. Amy was adorable as always! Oh and that beautiful auburn red hair contrasted with her purple shirt and the green scenery beautifully. It was great working in a new venue with good friends. I can't wait to meet Jackson Muir Woods....he's gonna be a cutie! Here are some pics from our session.

Bumps on the beach!
McPherson Family-"The Bump" Photo Shoot
04.29.12
This weekend I had one of the most amazing shoots thus far. It was a maternity shoot for one of my best friend's sister in law Helen. Helen is the tiniest, cutest, prego mommy-to-be ever! I love that her husband is so much taller than her. The juxtaposition of lil Helen and her tall husband made for an amazing photo shoot dynamic. They also brought their sweet pup Sundae. Isn't that the cutest name?! My best friend Amanda assisted on this shoot and was the official dog sitter. I don't think she minded since she loves pups as much as I do. The shoot was in Galveston, my first and the weather looked a bit ominous on the drive down. I was a bit concerned it might rain but low and behold the weather cleared just long enough for our shoot. The light was STUNNING!!!! There was this gorgeous glow in the sky and Helen looked beautiful! She was such a natural that in only 30 minutes we had 500 pictures! I could not have asked for better models, lighting and scenery. Simply gorgeous! Here are some shots from that day.
Two Lovers & Bruce Almighty
Kayleigh & Mike-Engagement Shoot
04.28.12
I love engagement shoots! It is such an awesome honor to work with couples who are about to embark on forever and witness them so in love with one another. This weekend I had the pleasure of working with my old boss, Janelle's, daughter Kayleigh and her fiance Mike...oh and their dog Bruce. Oh what a lover Bruce was. He was so handsome and such a good boy. Kayleigh and Mike are getting married next April and are so adorable together. Mike is such a gentleman...never letting Kayleigh carry too much, bringing a handkerchief for her to wipe her brow, and helping her at any moment she required it. These two were so much fun to work with and Janell came a long too to wrangle Bruce. We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs. Oh how I love LOVE....here are a few shots of the two lovers and Bruce Almighty. :)
