Old Friends & New Loves

Erica & Todd Engagement
03.16.12

Have you ever had a friend that you haven't spoken to in years but the second you see each other again it is as if time never passed?  Last week I was fortunate enough to work with an old friend and that is just what happened.  My dear friend Erica contacted me to do her engagement photos and was honored to oblige!  How exciting is it to see one of your dear friends in love and be the person to capture it?!  Erica and I had not seen each other for several years but it was as if no time had passed and we immediately picked up where we left off.  The funniest part of the session is when she showed me her outfits...which were very similar to mine during my engagement session...we laughed at this because we always used to dress the same and it was almost always accidental...some things never change (we can't help it if we have fab fashion sense).  :)  Erica introduced me to her fiancee Todd, who was so kind and sweet.  The two compliment each other so well and it was great to see my friend so happy!  We decided to do our shoot at Hermann Park.  Choosing this venue was almost a disaster...we hadn't taken into account that it was spring break and everyone was out.  Even though we decided to meet in the evening the crowds were crazy.  But we were able to find some great spots and take some amazing shots.  The weather and light that day were a photographer's dream!  This was one of the best sessions I have had and all thanks to God for providing the gorgeous weather and light!  It also helped that I was working with a very beautiful couple.  Here are a few shots from our session.

This is probably one of my favorite shots I have ever taken!  It's as if their kiss has a spark!

The light is gorgeous in this one and so are Eric and Todd!
Love this one...it reminds me of one of my engagement shots!
The fountain was creating this amazing mist that looked awesome during sunset!
The beautiful ring, diamonds are a girls best friend!
 Boy meets girl.  Sweet.
Love how her hair caught the wind during this twirl!
 The beautiful couple.
 "Come hither!"
 Gorgeous shot.
Everyone in Texas owns a pair of boots.
 Another beautiful shot.
The color version of the "kiss that made a spark."
Sweet kiss on the RR tracks.

The scenery at the park was beautiful, love the fountain in the background.
 Sneaking another kiss.
Soon both hands will have wedding rings!
Another dip!
I love these sweet moments.  Kisses on the forehead are so sweet!
 Happy and in love!
This is a great shot...Erica looks so cute as she looks adoringly at Todd.
 The happy couple.
We found this amazing tree that I just had to get some pictures of.
I love when you capture a shot like this...they didn't even know I was shooting.
Another great shot of the couple.
We found these big boulders that I thought would be cool for a photo.
This one is sweet.  I love the background.
Another candid shot where their personalities are showing.  Erica being silly.

Pretty in Pink

Kerr Family
03.13.12

Last weekend I had the pleasure of working with the Kerr Family.  This adorable young couple wanted to take some photos with their newest edition.  Their sweet lil angel was all pretty in pink.  I think she was more interested in my camera on this day than smiling for us but we still managed to get some sweet shots.  So adorable!

I LOVE Freckles!

Sari and Family
02.25.12

A few weeks ago I was reunited with a co-worker of mine and her adorable family!  Sari is one of those people that always has a smile on her face and her family was just the same.  Her older daughter Jordan reminds me of Lilly Collins (from The Blind Side).  She is stunning with long dark wavy hair and perfect skin.  Then there is Lilly....oh she had me at hello with those freckles!  I LOVE freckles!  Lilly has this amazing wild red hair and a perfect pallet of freckles that look like they were just sprinkled on her face with fairy dust.  Oh so sweet!  Some of my favorite moments where with the girls and their daddy.  He is definitly the protector in the family.  I just love discovering a family's dynamic during a session.  Family is such a blessing and it was beautiful seeing how much this family loves each other.  Made my day!  Here are some shots from our session...freckles and all!

 Daddy's girls.
This might be my favorite shot of Lilly from our session!
Caught Jordan being silly...love this one.
 Adorable family.
She wasn't interested in posing so I just follwed her around while she played.  This is so cute.
We got her to pose for this one!
Another candid shot of Jordan that I love.
 Daddy and his girl.
 Mom and her big girl.
 Family.
 Such a gorgeous girl.
She looks like a model here.
 In love.
 So cute.
 So sweet!
Farewell from Lilly and her freckles.
